Jellyfish, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the TaskRing mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy through a "local-first" architecture. This policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Privacy Philosophy
TaskRing is designed to be private by default. We believe your schedule is personal. We do not host, store, or analyze your calendar events, routines, or alarm schedules on our servers. All core app logic occurs locally on your iPhone.
2. Information Collection
A. Local Data (On-Device Only)
TaskRing requests specific iOS permissions to function. This data is processed in your device's memory and is never transmitted to Jellyfish, LLC:
- Calendar Data: Used to display your visual timeline.
- Presets & Alarms: Custom intervals (like hourly water reminders) are saved in your device's local storage or your private iCloud container.
- Notifications: Triggered locally to remind you of your tasks.
B. Technical Diagnostics
To maintain app stability, we collect anonymous technical data through Apple's standard developer tools:
- Crash logs and performance metrics.
- Device model and OS version.
- Anonymized feature usage statistics.
This data contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be traced back to you.
3. Third-Party Services
We use Apple App Store Services for app distribution and subscription management. All financial transactions are handled securely by Apple. Jellyfish, LLC never sees your credit card or billing information.
4. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Regardless of your location, you have total control over your data:
- Right to Deletion: Deleting the TaskRing app immediately purges all local data from your device.
- Right to Access: You can view all your stored routines directly within the app settings.
- Consent: You can revoke Calendar or Notification access at any time via the iOS Settings app.
5. Retention
On-device data remains until you delete the app. Anonymous diagnostic logs are typically retained for a maximum of 90 days to help us fix performance issues.
